Chain Breaker

Have you ever experienced a panic attack before? They come out of nowhere. The fear is uncontrollable. Your heart feels like it's beating out of your chest. Your chest rises in pain and falls in disparity. I wouldn't wish them on anyone.

I will never forget my first one. It started with the fear of dying and ended with a trip to the hospital surrounded by JT, my family, and my nurse Taylor (yes, we are on a first name basis so shoutout to TAY because she da real mvp.) Anxiety is a tough booger to tackle but panic is a whole beast of it's own. Panic feels like you have chains wrapped around you. You 100% feel out of control. It's absolutely frustrating and you end up living in fear.

I have literally made it a mission to tackle every situation I face with my faith. Lord knows I fail DAILY, like literally fail every.single.day, but I do feel better when I try. Here's the kicker though. The attacks have not subsided no matter how much I have prayed them away. That's not to say that they won't go away eventually, but until then they will be apart of my story. A story that I shouldn't be ashamed of. I do feel ashamed though many, many, many (how many times can I write many?) times. I feel like I am stronger than what is going on in my head, yet the fear still wins.

Silly me should know by now that God is in control, but sometimes my fear (the devil) gets the best of me. The devil has crazy ways of showing up and telling you that you are not okay and God won't be there to protect you. Satan sucks fooo sure! Lord knows I wish I could bop him on his head like little bunny foo -foo. Just kidding I wish I could make him feel what I feel. Luckily, his time is coming 👊.

I just want you to know that the panic and fear you feel will feel like chains that you cary with you wherever you go. Just be strong and brave enough to tell those fears each time they come sneaking back in that they May win the battle, but they WILL NOT win the war. You and I have the Chain Breaker on our side!

*I try to use pictures that I personally take on my blog that go along with what I write about. I scoured my photos and this is the only chain picture I have.
Sidenote: It is from a 2366 Case IH combine. It is called a feeder housing chain and it sits at the throat of the combine where it connects to the header to feed the crop into the threshing part of the combine.
2nd Sidenote: This is my personal knowledge and was not told to me by my husband. He only knows about green combines anyway. 😜

Nonetheless, a picture of a broken chain.
