Go Tell It On The Mountain

"When you become a believer, you also become God's messenger. God wants to speak to the world through you." -Rick Warren

If you would have told me months ago that I would suffer a miscarriage, my health would decline at an alarming rate, depression and anxiety would take control of my life and prevent me from accomplishing even the tiniest task, yet through it all I would find my way back to God, I would have stared at you in disbelief. I wouldn't have been able to picture my life like that.

God told Abraham to give his son as a sacrifice and Abraham never batted an eye because God told him to trust in what He was saying. Abraham's hope was dead yet he still continued to hope in faith. He trusted God's word. Ooooh to have blind faith like Abraham. He trusted God even when God told Him to sacrifice his son. It was a test of Abraham's faith. He of course passed the test and did not have to sacrifice his son, but God was testing him to see if he could handle the success that He wanted to give to Abraham. It became a part of Abraham's story that he would share with non believers.

You may not believe me, but you have a story to share too. If you believe in the Son of God you have a testimony in you. There has been a time in your life where God tested you with stress in order to give you success. God wants you to share it with others. It doesn't matter how you share. For me it was writing. For you it could be public speaking, creating youtube videos, singing, or going to another country to share it. Tell your story no matter who you think it'll impact. I promise you it will touch at least one other person.

God wants me to share my story, but He wanted to see if I could handle the stress before He gives me success. Have I handled it as gracefully as Abraham did? No, but that's okay. I am processing it in my own way and that is okay. I'm going to pass this test and I will share my story with all that will read it (I haven't worked up the courage to share it face to face just yet.) I know God wants to speak to the world through me and I know He will let my story touch at least one person and bring them closer to God.

Psalm119:71
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
